PHILIP is about an ageing drip-coffee-machine "on the verge of becoming obsolete" (as written in this nice feature on shots.net https://lnkd.in/dE3tkQt).  An endearing tale about the rapid life cycle of modern technology.

I've always loved puppetry. There's a magic transition when you start to believe the characters are 'real'. So recently I joined a puppetmaking workshop out of curiosity and that’s how PHILIP came to existence. When one of the puppeteers, Tim Hammer, started to play around with it, we saw its tragicomic potential. The choices for filming live-action puppetry were all new to us and it felt like a nice experiment.
